5.5 Establishing a Control Diagram
General A control diagram serves as a graphical representation of switch positions, and can be
utilized to control circuit breakers and other equipment. Therefore, in general, only de-
vices that can be controlled are typically represented (measured values, etc. are not
generally included). The control diagram must be selected.
As delivered from the factory, the relay contains a control diagram (see Figure 5-48)
which may be modified or replaced to represent the actual equipment arrangemants.

Procedure The creation or modification of the control diagram is performed, using the Display Ed-
itor in DIGSI
®
4. The basic procedure is the same as for creating the default display
(see Section ).
A precondition for modification or creation of dynamic symbols in a control diagram is
the configuration of the switching devices used in the control diagram, and their re-
spective feedback indications, as described in Section 5.2. This is the only way the di-
agram may correspond dynamically to present equipment conditions.
Modification of the factory settings and configuration is performed, using the same
aids as for the default display.
Proceed as follows:
If the default display has been saved and the user desires to use it as a pattern for
the control diagram, first delete the initial control diagram by activating 1HZ in the
Display Menue or click on the new page symbol in the tool bar. Then load the pat-
tern into an empty control diagram by clicking 'LVSOD\ 7HPSODWH
