6. Other Functions
6.1. Disable Communication
Flight mode means that all communication is disabled and can be selected
in the “Settings and actions” menu (see section 5.8.2).
6.2. GPS position
Every time monitoring is started, the internal GPS unit is activated for
some minutes to receive a position to be visualized in INFRA Net. After a
short while, a preliminary position is received, and after about five
minutes the final position is found (the GPS unit is then deactivated). The
GPS position is also updated once every morning at five o’clock local
time.
The GPS-symbol is positioned to the right in the display, and its color
depends on the status of the GPS functionality:
Red: no GPS position is (yet) received
Yellow: a GPS position is received with lower accuracy
(estimated position error normally > 20 m)
Green, a GPS position is received with high accuracy
(estimated position error < 20 m, but it needs to be outdoor)
