6.14.2 Heating system solutions "Y" and "S" type
Type "Y" and "S" heating systems are designed to control the
central heating system, ensuring that heated water is diverted
to the correct areas.
The type "Y" system is completed with room thermostats,
boiler thermostat and programmer.
It consists solely of a three-way valve that provides either
heating only or heating and domestic hot water. Hot water
heated by the boiler enters the valve, which sends this water
flow to either the heating distribution system, or the domestic
hot water system, or both, to operate both central heating and
domestic hot water simultaneously.
The type "S" system is completed with room thermostats,
boiler thermostat and programmer.
It consists of two separate motorized valves, one controlling
heating and the other controlling domestic hot water. These
valves can be used individually.
