Target symbols
The MX610/MX612 system use the AIS target symbols shown below:
Symbol Description
Sleeping AIS target (not moving or at anchor).
Moving and safe AIS target with course extension
line.
Dangerous AIS
target, illustrated
with bold line.
A target is defined as dan-
gerous based on the CPA
and TCPA settings. Refer to
Defining dangerous vessels on
page 55.
Lost AIS target. When no signals have been
received within a time limit a
target will be defined as lost.
The target symbol represents
the last valid position of the
target before the reception of
data was lost.
Viewing information about AIS targets
AIS target list
The list of AIS targets can be displayed by using the procedure
below:
1.
Press the AIS hot key.
2. Press the MENU key to bring up the quick menu.
3. The Vessel info menu will be highlighted, press ENT.
4. The list of AIS vessels will show.
5. Scroll to the desired AIS target, press ENT to show the vessel details.
6. Press the ENT key to close.
7. To exit, press the CLR a few times or any hot key.
