SITA Messtechnik GmbH - Operating Instructions SITA ConSpector
The message "Over-
range!" is shown.
Sensor overrange due
to direct sunlight
Avoid direct sunlight while using the device.
Use the measuring vessel and lid supplied.
Sensor overloaded
due to very high fluo-
rescence intensity
First do a measurement in a clean bath sam-
ple.
Light guide rod heavily
contaminated
Clean the visible part of the light conductor
as described below.
The message "Check
required" is shown.
Period since the last
device test is longer
than the set test inter-
val.
Perform an instrument test (8.1) as an blank
measurement in the empty beaker and, if
necessary, on the working standards.
Negative measured
values during blank
measurement or de-
vice test on the fluo-
rescence standards
(e.g. -5 RFU).
Zero offset.
Uncritical, as long as device has
device test. For tol
chapter.
If necessary, clean glass rod and limiter and
check again.
The measured values
for measurements in
bath samples are neg-
ative (e.g. -5 RFU)
A measurement was
performed in clean
deionized water or
very clean samples.
Uncritical, as long as device has been tested.
For tolerance range, see next chapter.
Strong fluctuation of
the ambient light. Pos-
sibly the warning "Am-
bient light fluctuates!”
is displayed.
Avoid direct sunlight during use. Use the sup-
plied measuring vessel and lid.
The sensor was acci-
dentally adjusted with
contaminated glass
rod or contaminated
fluorescence stand-
ards.
Perform device test. If Failed: Carefully clean
the glass rod and thread and repeat the in-
strument test. Readjust or reset adjustment to
factory settings (8.3) or send device + stand-
ards to manufacturer for service and adjust-
ment.
8.1 Device inspection
Perform a device check at regular intervals to check the immersion probe (light guide rod and
limiter) for contamination. To do this, use a stand to position the immersion probe in the clean,
unfilled stainless steel beaker and cover it with the corresponding lid (empty measurement). Then
start the check under Menu>Checking>Perform check.
