7.2 Procedure for commissioning as a subordinate device
This section describes the procedure of commissioning an inverter that is used in systems with
SystemManager. In this case, the inverter is controlled or regulated by the SystemManager.
It provides an overview of the steps, which must be performed in the prescribed sequence.

1. Commission the inverter. Section7.3, page55
2. Establish a connection to the user interface
of the inverter. There are various connec-
tion options to choose from for this:
Direct connection via Wi-Fi
Connection via WLAN in the local
network
Connection via Ethernet in the local
network

3. If required, change the network configura-
tion on the welcome page. The automatic
network configuration recommended by
SMA Solar Technology AG via DHCP
server is activated by default. Only change
the network configurations if the default
configuration is not suitable for your net-
work.

4. Carry out the configuration using the Com-
missioning Assistant. When doing so, select
Subordinate device in the device configu-
ration.

5. Register the inverter as an SMA Speedwire
device in the SystemManager.

7.3 Commissioning the Inverter
Requirements:
The AC circuit breaker must be correctly rated and mounted.
The product must be correctly mounted.
All cables must be correctly connected.
