► To troubleshoot RS485 communication:
1 If after a successful slave detection, the number of slaves reported in the master is smaller than the
actual number of slaves, check the Server Communication status screen of every slave inverter. The
following should appear:
S e r v e r : R S 4 8 5
S t a t u s : O K
2 If Master Not Found message appears, the master device is not responsive or the RS485 cable is not
connected. Check the connections to the master device and fix if required.
► Additional troubleshooting:
1 Check that the modem or hub/router is functioning properly.
2 Check that the connection to the internal connector on the communication board is properly done.
3 Check that the selected communication option is properly configured.
4 Use a method independent of the SolarEdge inverter to check whether the network and modem are
operating properly. For example, connect a laptop to the Ethernet router and connect to the
Internet.
5 Check whether a firewall or another type of network filter is blocking communication.
