NOTE
:
You can adjust all parameters in the real time B mode, but can only adjust
Rotation
,
Chroma
,
Gray Map
and
μScan
in the frozen B mode.
■ Gain
The B mode gain (2D gain) determines the amplifying factors for the received echoes and
the brightness of the ultrasound image. The echoes are amplified with the same gain value
regardless of depth.
You can rotate the Gain knob on the control panel to adjust the value.
■ TGC
TGC (Time Gain Compensation) is used to adjust the gain that allows compensation for
attenuation of the echoes over time (depth). It is adjustable during the real time mode
regardless of the imaging mode and display format.
TGC balances the image so that the density of echoes is the same throughout the image.
You can move the desired TGC slider to adjust the value.
NOTE:
• Modifications of TGC values cannot be saved if you shift to use another imaging
mode.
• The TGC curve is displayed at the right side of the imaging area when you adjust
TGC values, and the curve disappears if TGC values are not adjusted for more
than 3 seconds.
■ LGC
It is used to adjust the brightness on the left or right part of the image.
To adjust the LGC:
1. Press the function key to select the desired LGC menu item.
2. Rotate the function key to adjust the values.
■ Focus Area
It is used to adjust the depth range of the ultrasound beam and the focal span. Focus
optimizes the image by increasing the resolution for a specific area.
To adjust the focal area:
1. Press the function key to select Focus Area.
2. Rotate the function key to adjust the settings.
You can also press the Focus switch to adjust the focus position.
