Troubleshooting
Symptom
Tile Remote Commander
supplied with your
canlcorder does not work.
Tile picture fl'om a TV or
VCR does not appear even
when your canlcorder is
connected to outputs on tile
TV or VCR.
Tile melody or beep sounds
for five seconds.
When charging tile battery
pack, no indicator appears
or tile indicator flashes on
tile display window.
You cannot charge tile
battery pack.
Tile camcorder is
immediately tin'ned off even
if tile amount of tile battery
remaining time is enough to
operate.
No flmction works though
tile power is on.
Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• COMMANDER is set to OFF in tile menu settings.
•") Set it to ON. (p. 107)
• Something is blocking tile infrared rays.
•") Remove tile obstacle.
• Tile batteries are inserted in tile battery holder with tile +
polarities incorrectly.
-) Insert tile batteries with tile correct polarity. (p. 168)
• Tile batteries are (lead.
") Insert new ones. (p. 168)
• DISPLAY is set to V OUT/LCD in tile menu settings.
") Set it to LCD. (p. 107)
• Moisture condensation has occurred.
") Remove tile cassette and leave your camcorder for at least
one hour to acclimatize. (p. 156)
• Some troubles have occurred in your camcorder.
") Remove tile cassette and insert it again, then operate your
canlcorder. >
• Tile AC power adaptor is disconnected. -_

") Disconnect tile power cord of tile AC power adaptor or
remove tile battery, then reconnect it after about one
minute. Tm'n the power on. If the ftmctions still do not
work, press tile RESET button located at tile lower-right of
tile ZEBRA selector using a sharl>pointed object. (If you
press tile RESET button, all the settings including tile (late
and time return to tile default.) (p. 13, 163)
