5. Now it would seem that you have two orange wires. Strip both sides of the wire you just cut and
pull them out a little more out of the insulation.
6. Attach your switch you chose to the orange wires. Solder it, twist it, tape it, screw and nut it (like
I did), I don't care, just make sure that you don't tear the switch off of your cable when you get
angry. You can make 'extension wires' so you don't have to get up or use your feet. Just
remember to check what works. Tip: Go buy a cheap household light switch, they work the best!
7. Congratulations, your done. You probably *****ed up though, because you are a noob!
If you didn't understand, here's a 'quick' guide:
1. Slit Ethernet open
2. Take out orange wire
3. Cut the SOLID orange wire, not the striped one. Be careful, they are wrapped around each other
4. Strip the ends of the wire you just cut, pic:
5. Wrap the metal strings or wired different ends of your light switch, and do whatever to keep
them on, (tape, solder, glue, etc...)
Here's another set of instructions to follow too:
1. Take your Ethernet cord and find a spot, mainly towards an end, find a spot and cut 2-3 inches of
the insulation off, not through the cord, just the insulation around the wires inside. Now there are
two wires inside you need, orange stripped and orange solid (no stripes).
2. Now you will see wires inside, but find the orange set, there are two separate them and you
