Display/Video Fixes
I have had a few people ask me now about how to fix some sort of display/video problem, i.e. blank
screen, sound but no display, etc.. So I have decided to put together a troubleshooting reference of
common possible fixes for display/video problems that most people might be experiencing.
1. First off check your connections. Make sure that whichever display/video cable you might be
currently using, is connected all the way & properly hooked up to your TV & PS3. This will fix
most display/video problems.
2. Check your display/video cables to make sure that there is nothing wrong with your cables. If
you suspect there is a problem with your cables but are not sure, try them on another PS3 (one
that you know for sure is working & does not have display/video problems).
3. Hold the power button on the ps3 for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. If this doesn't work, try a
few times. It should work. This will also fix most display/video problems (i.e. no display/
video). (When turning on your PS3, be sure to hold the power button down. DO NOT
LET GO! If you turn it on, then repress the power button again for 5 sec. until you hear a
beep, IT WILL NOT WORK!)
