P: PARK POSITION
Use this position to park your vehicle, warm up the engine,
or stay in a location for an extended length of time.
To shift into any other position, depress the brake pedal.
GEAR SELECTOR LEVER POSITIONS
• Never shift into “P” when the vehicle is moving, or the trans-
mission will be damaged.
• Stop the vehicle completely before shifting into
“P”.
• To shift from the
“P” position to another position, the ignition
switch must be turned to “ON” and the brake pedal should be
depressed. Any forcible attempts to move the selector lever
from
“P” without the two procedures may damage the selector
lever.
