6 Operation
61 Commissioning and Safe Operation
The machine and all connected components have to be wired correctly and be in perfect condition. The operator must
have completely read and understood the entire documentation of the D-Series and corresponding instructions. Further-
more, the operator has to be familiar with the use of CNC gantry milling systems and CNC software. The workplace needs
to be compliant with the applicable regulations and provisions of the respective industry.
611 Emergency Stop
The emergency stop is located in a separate housing and is rmly connected with the machine. In order to be able to
intervene at all times, the emergency stop switch has to be positioned at a suitable place. By pressing the emergency stop
switch, the emergency stop is triggered. The machine stops immediately (see „1.7 Notices Regarding the Emergency Stop
Switch“). An emergency stop will result in the stepper motor losing steps. Your machine has to be homed afterwards. A
controlled stop of the machine can only be achieved via the control software. Therefore, only make use of the emergency
stop switch in an actual emergency. To deactivate the emergency stop status, reactivate the control by turning the emer-
gency stop switch clockwise. The operating process has to be restarted.
612 Blockages due to Accidents or Malfunctions
In case of an emergency stop all axis turn currentless and can not be moved manually. As long as the emergency stop
status is in place, the axis are xed. Release this status to reactivate the movability.
