3. Basic operation
3.1 Power on receiver
Short-press the power button, the power indicator will light on and you will
hear one beep, then S980A will be powered on.
Wait up to the next 3 beeps to use the device.
After the 3 beeps the initialization can be considered complete.
3.2 Power off receiver
Long press the power button and release it when all indicators will start
flashing and the voice will prompt “power off” (if it is enable) . Then short-
press the power button to confirm.
3.3 Check & Switch of the current working mode
Check
When receiver is powered on, short press the power button and then the
speaker will broadcast the current working mode and data link.
Switch
When the receiver is powered on, connect it to a handheld or controller and
change the working mode following the istructions of the software.
3.4 Receiver Selfcheck
Self-check functionality is an option to check whether every module works
normally. When S980A receiver has indicators off or a module doesn’t work
normally, you can use self-check option to inspect the receiver. S980A self-
check consists of six parts, namely GNSS, radio, network, WIFI, Bluetooth and
