5.11 Storage of Printing Materials
5.11.1 Storage and Transport Conditions
Storecontainersofmodelandsupportmaterials,indoors,inadryarea
withadequateventilationandwiththetemperaturekeptbetween16–27
degreesCelsius(60–81degreesFahrenheit).Similarly,transportationof
thesematerialsrequiresadryenvironmentkeptbetween16–27degrees
Celsius(60–81degreesFahrenheit).
Printingma
terialsarecombustible.Neverexposeprintingmateri
alsto
flames,heator sparks.Printingmaterialsshouldbestoredinconformance
withapplicablefiredepartmentandinsurancecompanyregulationsand
otherapplicablelaws,regulations,codesandguidelines.
5.11.2 Shelf Life
Printingmaterialscanbeuseduntiltheexpirydateindicatedonthe
container,providedthatthecontainerisundamaged.Inventory
provisionsshouldbemadetoinsurethatcontainerswiththeclosest
expirydateareusedfirst.
5.11.3 Printing Material Containers
PrintingmaterialsforaresuppliedinUV‐proofcontainers.
Whenacontainerisnotinuse,thecontainer
mustbecappedtoprotectthe
materialfromcontaminationandstrayUVradiation.Inaddition,keeping
acontainercappedminimizestheriskofaccidentalspillageofthe
material.
If the printing materials are not stored under the recommended conditions, their
effective life is shortened.
Plastic containers made from monomer-soluble materials such as polystyrene or
polyvinyl chloride should not be used for the storage of spilled material.
