5.6.2 Connection Procedure
SUNGROW provides corresponding plug connectors in the scope of delivery for quick
connection of PV inputs.
DC cables should be connected to the inverter via PV connectors which are included in
the scope of delivery.
To ensure NEMA Type 4X protection, use only the supplied connector or the
connector with the same ingress of protection.
High voltage may be present in the inverter!
Ensure all cables are voltage-free before performing electrical operations.
Do not connect the AC circuit breaker before finishing electrical connection.
Use MC4 DC terminals if the maximum input voltage is no more than 1,000V.
Use MC4 DC terminals if the maximum input voltage is greater than 1,000V.
To purchase the MC4 DC terminals, contact SUNGROW.
Select appropriate DC terminals as required above. Otherwise, SUNGROW
shall be held no liability for the damage caused.
Step 1 Strip the insulation from each DC cable by 7mm.
Step 2 Assemble the cable ends with the crimping pliers.
Step 3 Lead the cable through cable gland, and insert into the insulator until it snaps into place.
Gently pull the cable backward to ensure firm connection. Tighten the cable gland and
the insulator (torque 2.5 N·m to 3 N·m).
