Primary Display
This option specifies the type of display adapter card installed in the system.
The settings are
Absent,
VGA/EGA

Password Check
This option enables the password check option every time the system boots
or the end user runs WinBIOS Setup. If
Always
is chosen, a user password
prompt appears every time the computer is turned on. If
Setup
is chosen,
the password prompt appears if WinBIOS Setup is executed.
Boot to OS/2
If DRAM size is over 64 MB, set this option to

to permit AMIBIOS to run

CPU Microcode Updation

to permit the CPU to be updated on line. The

Internal Cache
This option is for enabling or disabling the internal cache memory. The

System BIOS Cacheable

, the contents of the F0000h system memory segment
can be read from or written to cache memory. The contents of this memory
segment are always copied from the BIOS ROM to system RAM for faster
execution. The settings are

Note: The Optimal
default setting is Enabled and the Fail-Safe default setting is Disabled.
Set this option to Enabled to permit the contents of F0000h RAM
memory segment to be written to and read from cache memory.
CPU ECC
The settings for this option are

. This option enables
Pentium II L2 cache ECC function.
Processor Serial Number
If you have a Pentium III processor, the serial number ID in the chip can
be disabled for privacy reasons. Set to

to allow access to this
ID number and

to block access to it. If you do not have a
Pentium III processor, this is not an issue and you will see
N/A
in the
setting options.
