CRANKSHAFT
CRANKSHAFT RUNOUT
Support the crankshaft using V-blocks and measure the crank-
shaft runout using the dial gauge, as shown. If the runout ex-
ceeds the service limit, replace the crankshaft with a new one.

Service Limit: 0.08 mm (0.003 in)
STARTER CLUTCH
Hold the rotor with a 26 mm offset wrench and remove the
hexagon bolts.
Install the starter clutch in the proper direction as shown.
NOTE:
When installing the starter clutch onto the rotor, make sure that
the notch
A
in the bearing faces to the rotor.
Apply engine oil to the starter clutch.
Apply THREAD LOCK SUPER “1303” to the hexagon bolts,
and then tighten them to the specified torque while holding
the rotor and using a 26 mm offset wrench.
