ENGINE OIL
Check the engine oil level as follows.
1. Start the engine and allow it to run for three minutes
at idling speed.
2. Stop the engine and wait three minutes.
3. Hold the motorcycle vertically.
Check the oil level through the engine oil level
inspection window.
4. If the level is below the “L” (Low) line, add fresh oil
from the filler hole to correct level.
If the level is above the “F” (Full) line, drain oil from
the drain hole to correct level.
5. Reinstall the oil drain plug and engine oil filler plug.
Tighten them securely.
Oil drain plug: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)

NOTE:
This motorcycle is shipped from factory with the
engine filled with engine oil.
NOTICE
Operating the engine with too little or too much
oil can damage the engine.
Hold the motorcycle vertically. Check the oil
level with the engine oil level inspection win-
dow before each use of the motorcycle. Be sure
the engine oil level is always above the “L”
(Low) line and not higher than the “F” (Full)
line.
