within the Windows “Command” directory or within the
systems “DOS” directory.
Example CONFIG.SYS entry:

(A Windows NT workstation does not require this driver.)
Please contact your network system administrator if you have any
questions on these requirements.
Installation Requirements
The I/NET 2000 software requires approximately 35 MB of hard
disk space. Make sure you have enough space before you install
I/NET. You will need to allocate additional hard drive space for data
files.
Before beginning the installation procedures, it is important to
consider the following:
Determine whether you will use synchronous or asynchro-
nous communication. Setup’s
Typical option (the default)
installs asynchronous BIN files. You should choose the
Synchronous option to install synchronous BIN files. You
may switch from synchronous to asynchronous, or vice versa,
at a later date by choosing the
Custom option and then
selecting the appropriate controller binary files. Instructions
are provided in Chapter 2, Installing I/NET.
Note: Refer to the Communication chapter in TCON237, I/NET 2000
Technical Reference Guide for information on synchronous versus
asynchronous communication.
If you want to use an Ethernet LAN, make sure you have a
valid LAN connection. Refer to “Workstation Requirements”
for the definition of a valid LAN connection.
