I/NET 2000 Getting Started A-1
A
ODBC32 Administrator Setup
The procedures in this appendix provide the instructions necessary
to manually configure the ODBC32 Administrator for use with
AMT, Exporter/Reporter, and the I/NET ODBC Driver.
Follow these procedures only if you deselected the ODBC compo-
nent during the I/NET 2000 installation.
Note: The I/NET ODBC Driver interfaces with I/NET’s access control files.
It is used by other applications that require access to these files.
By default, I/NET’s installation program installs and configures the
ODBC32 Administrator. For this reason, it is strongly recom-
mended that you accept the default installation components. If,
however, you elect not to install ODBC32 during the initial instal-
lation, and install it at a later time, you will have to use the
following procedures to manually configure the ODBC32 Admin-
istrator.
1. To install ODBC32 Administrator, follow the installation
procedure outlined in “The Setup Program” on page 2-1
until you reach Step 11. Choose the Custom option.
2. The Select Components screen allows you to select compo-
nents for installation. Scroll to the second half of the
Components list and select
ODBC32 Administrator, as
shown in Figure A-1.
3. If necessary, deactivate (#) all other components and click
Next.
4. Complete the Setup program. If you require instructions on
the remaining screens, refer to Step 13 on page 2-11.
After Setup is complete, you must manually configure the ODBC
components.
