Cleaning the Condenser Filter and Coil
Monthly cleaning of the condensing unit filter will aid the
heat transfer characteristics of the refrigeration system,
increase its efficiency, and extend the life of the
compressor. To accomplish this, remove the lower
louvered panel and lift out the condenser filter. The filter
can be cleaned in warm soapy water (HCS). Rinse and
shake off the excess water. Replace the filter and
louvered panel.
Every 3 months, clean the condenser coils. The coils are
located behind the condenser filter. The condenser coils
should be cleaned with a vacuum or a stiff brush.
