3.1.1 Access the TG234 GUI
The IP address of your TG234
If your computer and the TG234 are both connected to a gateway, browse to the GUI of your gateway to check the IP
address of the TG234.
If your computer and the TG234 are connecting directly to each other and the:
In Access Point mode, the default IP address of the TG234 is: 192.168.1.100
In Station mode, the default IP address of the TG234 is: 192.168.1.200
How do I recognize my device?
If your TG234s is in:
Access Point mode it will be listed as TG234-AP-XXXXXX.
Station mode it will be listed as TG234-STA-XXXX.
Repeater mode it will be listed as TG234-REPEATER-XXXX.
Where XXXXXX is the same suffix as used for the default network name (TNCAPXXXXXX) that is printed on the
product label.
Accessing the TG234 GUI
Proceed as follows:
1 Open your web browser.
2 Browse to the IP address of your TG234.
For more information about how to access the GUI of your gateway, and how to check the IP address of devices,
consult the documentation of your gateway.
On a Technicolor gateway, you will have to do either of the following depending on the software it is running:
Click the Devices card header on the home page.
Click Devices in the Home/Office Network menu.
In Auto mode, try both 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.200.
If the repeater is not directly connected to your Internet gateway (it is connected through an Ethernet switch or
another TG234), it may not appear in the list.
