3.3 Connecting the TG234 directly to your device
Introduction
This section helps you to connect the TG234 directly to your device (for example a computer, a printer, a network drive,...).
This is helpful when:
You want to configure the TG234 as the wireless client and you don’t want to use WPS for this.
You want to access the TG234 GUI but the TG234 is not yet connected to your home network.
Requirements
Make sure that:
Your device has a free Ethernet port.
Your TG234 has a free Ethernet port.
Step 1: Choose the correct mode
Move the mode switch to the proper position:
If you want to configure the TG234 as the wireless client of your device (station mode), move the mode switch to the
Auto or Station position.
If you just want to access the TG234 GUI, move the mode switch to either the Station or the Access Point position.
