The instrument input and output connectors are floating inputs and outputs (see Floating ground for
more information).
WARNING. To avoid personal injury or death due to electric shock, do not apply voltages in excess
of 42 V
pk
to any BNC connector ground or to the chassis ground.
CAUTION. Do not short output pins or apply external voltages to output connectors, because this
will cause damage to your instrument. Also, do not apply more than +5 V to the Trigger Input
connector, which may cause damage to your instrument.
