Adjustments
Composite Analog
Frequency Res
ponse
(Option CPS )
If the Frequenc
y Response is outside the specification, follow this adjustment
procedure:
1. Connect the precision video generator to one of the CMPST A input
connectors and terminate the other conn ector with the precision terminator.
2. Set the precision generator for 700 mV Multiburst. The top packet must be
5.75 MHz.
3. Press the CONFIG button.
4. Navigate to Utilities > Calibration, and then press SEL.
5. Select Compos ite Freq Peak and then press SEL.
6. Follow t he on-screen instructions to adjust the response.
7. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the screen to Save and Exit calibration
mode.
8. Repeat the Composite Analog Frequency Response test in the Performance
Ver i fication procedure.
Analog Audio Level Meter
Accuracy Over Frequency
If any of the Analog A Inputs failed to meet the specification, (or even if they are
off by more than a few tenths of a dB) an input adjustment can be performed:
1. Set the analog audio generator as follows:
Control Setting
Frequency 1 kHz
Output Level
18 dB u Audio Tone
Output Impedance 10 Ω
2. Connect the generator balanced (BAL) analog output to the Analog A input
that requires adjustment.
3. Press the CONFIG button.
4. Navigate to Utilities > Calibration,andt
hen press SEL.
5. Push the up or down arrow key until the desired Analog Input channel is
highlighted and push the SEL key to automatically perform an adjustment.
6. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the screen to Save and Exit calibration
mode.
7. Check for an indication of -18 dBu in the newly adjusted audio bar.
8. If multiple inputs require adjustment, repeat steps 2 through 7 for each input.
This ends the adjustment procedure. To complete the process you should now
perform a complete Performance Verification.
