TA9 & TA10 Dumper 0803-3 December 2010 8-2
b Securing Dumper to a Lorry or Trailer Bed
When the machine has been placed in an acceptable position on
the lorry or trailer, the handbrake should be securely applied and
the skip fully lowered. The articulation lock should be fitted.
If the dumper has a folding ROPS this should be lowered to
reduce the transport height of the machine.
Once the machine has been positioned on the Lorry / Trailer
bed, chocks should be nailed firmly in the positions shown in
the diagram below.
The chains, straps, ropes etc. should be attached to the machines
front lashing points (A) and rear towing hitch or over axles.
Ropes may also be placed over the wheels as shown in diagram.
The loose ends of the chains, straps, ropes etc. must then be
securely attached to the lorry / trailer bed.
b
Chocks MUST be Placed on All Four Wheels.
Secure the dumper to the lorry/trailer chassis using
Chains, Straps or Ropes of Sufficient Strength.
