How to set up Nsync Target on N4100
On the Nsync target server, the administrator of that server has to set up a user account with writable to
nsync folder.
1. On the Nsync server, add a user for Nsync source (ex. nsyncsource1). For instructions on how to add a
user on N4100, please go to section on “Add Users“ in Chapter 4.
2. On the Nsync server, add that user (ex. nsyncsource1) to writable list of nysnc folder. For instructions
on how to set up ACL for a user, please go to section on “Setting the Access Control List (ACL) for a
Folder” in Chapter 4.
3. Once this is done, the target server will start accepting Nsync task from server using that ID and
password.
How to set up Nsync Target on Other Device
If you selected “Other Device” when setting up your Nsync task, N4100 will use FTP protocol to back up the
share folder. Please make sure there is a folder named “nsync”, and the Auth ID has writable permission in
that folder.
