Beforereplacingparts:
Makesurethatallsoftwarexes,drivers,andUEFIBIOSdownloadsareinstalledbeforeyoureplaceany
FRUslistedinthismanual.
Afterasystemboardisreplaced,ensurethatthelatestUEFIBIOSisloadedtothesystemboardbeforeyou
completetheserviceaction.
Todownloadandinstallsoftwarexes,drivers,andUEFIBIOS,dothefollowing:
1.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/support.
2.ClickDownloadDrivers&Softwareandthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentoreachthe
DownloadDriversandSoftwarepage.
3.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentodownloadandinstallthenecessarysoftware.
UsethefollowingstrategytopreventunnecessaryexpenseforreplacingandservicingFRUs:
•IfyouareinstructedtoreplaceaFRUbutthereplacementdoesnotcorrecttheproblem,reinstallthe
originalFRUbeforeyoucontinue.
•Somecomputershavebothaprocessorboardandasystemboard.Ifyouareinstructedtoreplaceeither
theprocessorboardorthesystemboard,andreplacingoneofthemdoesnotcorrecttheproblem,
reinstallthatboard,andthenreplacetheotherone.
