2.2 Functional description
The gear (gear drive) consists of a single-stage worm gear mounted on roller
be
arings. The housing is in monoblock design with a bearing bracket
integrated on one side or on both sides and integrated dual-circuit brake.
The worm gear toothing runs in oil.
The traction sheave is overhung.
The TW63 will be available from May 2011 onwards and it differs from the
previous version in that there are modified anti-friction bearings with
optimised sealing (hub unit on worm shaft).
