Every50hours—Checkthepaperair-cleaner
element.
Every200hours—Replacethepaperair-cleaner
element.
Note:Servicetheaircleanermorefrequently(every
fewoperatinghours)iftheoperatingconditionsare
extremelydustyorsandy.
Important:Donotapplyoiltothefoamorpaper
element.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Cleantheareaaroundtheaircleanertoprevent
dirtfromenteringtheengineandcausing
damage(Figure23).
4.Unscrewthecoverknobsandremovethe
air-cleanercover(Figure23).
5.Unscrewthehoseclampandremovethe
air-cleanerassembly(Figure23).
6.Carefullypullthefoamelementoffthepaper
element(Figure23).

cleanerbaseandsecureitwiththe2wingnuts
(Figure23).
3.Placetheair-cleanercoverintopositionand
tightenthecoverknob(Figure23).
