ServicingtheFuelSystem
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Closethefuel-shutoffvalveatthefueltank
(Figure30).
4.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclamptogether
andslideitupthefuellineawayfromthefuel
lter(Figure30).
5.Pullthefuellineoffthefuellter(Figure30).
6.Openthefuel-shutoffvalveandallowthefuelto
drainintoafuelcontainerordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lter,becausethefueltankisempty;referto
ReplacingtheFuelFilter(page31).
7.Installthefuellinetothefuellter.
Slidethehoseclampclosetothevalvetosecure
thefuelline.
