6.Adjustthethrottletooperatethemoweratthedesired
groundspeedandtransportthemowertothedesired
destination.
PreparingtoMow
1.ReturnthetractioncontrollevertotheDisengage,
throttletoSlowandstoptheengine.
2.Pushthekickstanddownwithfootandpulluponthe
handlesupportuntilthekickstandhasrotatedforward,
overcenter.
3.Removethetransportwheels.
4.Carefullylowerthemachineoffthekickstand.
Besurethemoweriscarefullyadjustedandissetevenly
onbothsidesofthereel.Impropermoweradjustmentis
magniedintheappearanceoftheclippedturf.Removeall
foreignobjectsfromtheturfpriortomowing.Makesure
everyone,especiallychildrenandpets,areclearofthework
area.
MowingTips
Important:Grassclippingsactasalubricantwhen
mowing.Excessiveoperationofthecuttingunitwiththe
absenceofgrassclippingscandamagethecuttingunit.
•Thegreensshouldbemowedinastraightbackandforth
directionacrossthegreen.
•Avoidcircularmowingorturningthemoweronthe
greensareassincescufngmayoccur.
•Turningthemowershouldbedoneoffthegreenby
raisingthecuttingreel(pushingthehandledown)and
turningonthetractiondrum.
•Mowingshouldbedoneatanormalwalkingpace.Fast
speedssavesverylittletimeandwillresultinaninferior
mowingjob.
•Toassistinmaintainingastraightlineacrossthegreen
andtokeepthemachineanequaldistancefromtheedge
ofthepreviouscut,usethealignmentstripesonthe
basket(Figure25).

Conditions
Whenoperatingthemachineinlowlightconditions,itis
recommendedthattheoptionalLEDLightKit,Model
04265,beused.
Important:Donotuseotherlightsystemswiththis
mowerastheywillnotoperateproperlywiththeengine
ACoutput.
OperatingtheControlswhileMowing
1.Starttheengine,setthethrottletoareducedspeed,
pushdownonthehandletoraisethecuttingunit,
depresstheoperatorpresencecontrol,movethe
tractionlevertotheEngagedpositionandtransport
themowerontothecollarofthegreen(Figure26).
