1.EnsurethatthePTOisdisengaged.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Lowerthecuttingunit(s)ifnecessary.
5.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
6.TurntheignitionkeytotheSTOPpositionand
removeit.
7.Allowmachinecomponentstocoolbefore
performingmaintenance.
RemovingtheHood
1.Unlatchandraisethehood.
2.Removethehairpincottersecuringthehood
pivottothemountingbrackets(Figure31).

ServiceLatch
Whenservicingthecuttingunits,usetheservicelatch
topreventinjury.
1.Centerthecuttingunitsidewinderwiththe
tractionunit.
2.Raisethecuttingunittothetransportposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrakeandshutoffthe
machine.
4.Releasethelatchrodfromthefrontcarrier-frame
retainer(Figure32).
