Engine Replacement
Engine Removal
1. Lift the seat to access the battery compartment.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative
battery terminal (Fig. 386).
4. Remove the electric PTO clutch. Refer to “Electric
PTO Clutch Removal” on page 3-29.
5. Release tension from the idler spring and slide
the engine pulley off the crank shaft. Remove the
transmission drive belt from the engine pulley and
remove the pulley from the machine (Fig. 388).

6. Remove the 4 engine mounting bolts (Fig. 389).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the positive
battery terminal (Fig. 387).
