4. Slide the cutting deck toward the front of the tractor
allowing the hooks on the deck to catch on the deck
stabilizer rod (Fig. 851).

5. Lower the deck lift arms by moving the deck lift lever
into the bottom notch on the right fender (Fig. 852).

6. From the left side of the tractor, locate the deck
support pin on the rear left side of the deck. Pull the
deck support pin outward. Lift the deck into position
and release the deck support pin so that the deck is
hanging and supported by the deck support pin (Fig.
853).

7. Repeat the above step on the tractor’s right side.
8. Route the mower deck belt around the spindles and
idlers. Refer to the belt routing decal (Fig. 854):
