4. Remove the spindle assembly from the vise and
remove the spindle shaft and spacer from the
spindle housing (Fig. 884).

5. Remove the bearing and two spacers from the pulley
side of the housing (Fig. 885).

6. Remove the second bearing from the blade side of
the spindle housing (Fig. 886).

7. Inspect the bearings and spacers. Replace if worn or
damaged.
8. Install a bearing into the blade side of the spindle
housing (Fig. 887).
