5. Tilt both idler pulleys and remove the upper mower
deck belt from the mower deck (Fig. 598).
7. Remove the extension spring located between the
left and right idler brackets (Fig. 600).

6. Remove the extension spring between the brake
arm and then right hand side belt cover (Fig. 599).

4. Loosen the 2 nuts on the upper idler pulley bolts
(Fig. 597).
