46” Mower Deck - Lower Idler Bracket
Installation
6. Remove the lower idler bracket from the mower deck
(Fig. 640).

1. Apply No. 2 multi-purpose lithium grease to the
bottom of the lower idler bracket (Fig. 641).
2. Install the lower bracket (Fig. 642) making sure:
A. Flat side of the lower belt is in the fl at idler.
B. The belt is routed around the left side, lower
spindle pulley.
C. The shoulder spacer is inserted in the hole of
the idler bracket, so the shoulder of the spacer is
sitting evenly on top of the mower deck.

3. Hook the extension spring to the right and left idler
brackets (Fig. 643).
