42” Mower Deck Removal
1. Lower the lift lever to the lowest height-of-cut setting
(Fig. 790).

2. Loosen the self-tapping screw securing the belt
retainer rod to the frame, located to the left side of
the engine drive pulley (Fig. 791).

3. Push the PTO idler pulley and bracket towards the
rear of the machine (Fig. 792).

4. Remove the mower deck belt from the lower engine
pulley (Fig. 793).
