3. Install a nut onto the shoulder bolt securing the
brake bracket to the idler pulley bracket (Fig. 661).
Note: The idler bracket and brake bracket should
move freely.

4. Install the lower idler pulley spring onto the spring
post on the mower deck (Fig. 662).
2. Position the brake bracket onto the idler bracket and
insert the shoulder bolt (Fig. 660).

5. Install the upper idler pulley spring to the spring post
on the right side idler bracket (Fig. 663).
