3. Position the mower blade onto the spindle shaft (Fig.
718).

4. Block the blade and install a nut onto the mower
deck spindle assembly. Torque the nut to 70-90 ft-
lbs. (94.9-122 Nm) (Fig. 719).

5. Turn the mower deck right side up.
6. Hook the mower deck brake assembly spring to the
deck brake assembly bracket and the spring stud on
the mower deck (Fig. 720).

7. Route the belt around the mower deck spindle pulley
(Fig. 721).
