5. Place blocks under the mower deck to raise it up.
6. Slide the front adjustment deck rod into the deck
hanger bracket on the front of the mower deck (Fig.
826).

7. Lower the lift lever to the lowest height-of-cut setting
(Fig. 827).

8. Slide the mower deck toward the rear of the tractor
so the deck pins line up with the deck lift arms.
9. Pull the rear right and left deck support pins outward
and position the rear deck hanger bracket holes
inline with the pins. Release the pins to secure the
rear of the mower deck (Fig. 828).

10. Install the mower deck belt around the lower engine
pulley (Fig. 829).
