6. Line the lift arms up with the rear right and left deck
support pins. Pull the rear deck support pins outward
and install the pins into the deck lift arms (Fig. 842).

7. Insert a 3/8”-drive ratchet wrench (set to tighten) into
the square hole found in the idler bracket at the left
side of the mower. Grasp the ratchet’s handle and
pivot it to relieve tension on the belt (Fig. 843).
Note: The left belt cover has been removed for
photo purposes.

8. With belt tension relieved, install the belt around the
electric PTO clutch pulley (Fig. 844).

9. Lower the lift lever to the lowest height-of-cut setting
(Fig. 845).
