1.Sitontheoperator’sseatandkeepyourfootoff
thetractionpedal.
2.Ensurethatthefollowingcontrolsareset:
•Theparkingbrakeisengaged.
•ThetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.
•Thespraypumpisshutoff.
•ThethrottleisintheSLOWposition.
3.TurnthekeytotheSTARTposition.
4.Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
5.Releasethekeywhentheenginestarts.
6.RuntheengineatIDLEspeedorpartialthrottle
untiltheenginewarmsup.
DrivingtheMachine
1.Releasetheparkingbrakeandpressthetraction
pedalforwardtodrivethemachineforwardor
pressthepedalrearwardtodrivethemachine
inreverse.
Important:Ensurethatyouallowthe
sprayertocometoastopbeforeswitching
betweentheFORWARDandREVERSEpositions.
2.Toslowlystopthemachine,releasethetraction
pedal.
Note:ThetractionpedalreturnstotheNEUTRAL
position.
3.Tostopquickly,pressthebrakepedal.
Note:Thestoppingdistanceofthemachine
mayvarydependingonthesprayer-tankload
andgroundspeedofthemachine.
SettingtheGround-Speed-Lock
Switch
CAUTION
Ifyoupresstheground-speed-lockswitch
anddonothaveyourfootonthetraction
pedal,thetractionunitmaysuddenlystopand
causeyoutolosecontrol,possiblyinjuring
youorbystanders.
Ensurethatyouhaveyourfootonthe
tractionpedalwhenyoudisengagethe
ground-speed-lockswitch.
1.Startthespraypumpbypressingthe
spray-pumpswitchtotheONposition;referto
Spray-PumpSwitch(page19).
2.Driveforwardandattainthedesiredground
speed;refertoDrivingtheMachine(page32).
Note:Youmustdrivethemachinelessthan11
km/h(7mph)tosettheground-speedlock.
3.Pressthetopoftheground-speed-lockswitch.
Note:Thelightontheswitchilluminates.
4.Takeyourfootoffthetractionpedal.
Note:Thesprayermaintainsthespeedthat
youset.
5.Toreleasetheground-speed-lockswitch,either
placeyourfootonthetractionpedalandpress
thebottomoftheswitchorremoveyourfootfrom
thetractionpedalandpressthebrakepedal.
Note:Thelightontheswitchturnsoffandthe
tractioncontrolreturnstothetractionpedal.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.MoveallthecontrolstotheNEUTRALposition.
2.Pressthebraketostopthesprayer.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.MovethethrottlelevertotheIDLE/SLOWposition.
5.TurnthekeytotheOFFposition.
6.Removethekeyfromtheswitchtoprevent
someonefromaccidentallystartingtheengine.
