machinetobesureofaclearpath.

beusedonpublicroadways.Doingsomaybe
hazardousandinviolationoflocallaws.
Whenusingthemachineonpublicroads,follow
alltrafcregulationsanduseanyadditional
accessoriesthatmayberequiredbylaw,suchas
lights,turnsignals,slow-movingvehicle(SMV)
signs,andothersasrequired.
Ifthemachineevervibratesabnormally,stop
andshutoffthemachineimmediately,waitfor

Itcantakelongertostopthemachineonwet
surfacesthanondrysurfaces.Todryoutwet
brakes,driveslowlyonalevelsurfacewhile
puttinglightpressureonthebrakepedal.
Operatingthemachineonapavedsurfacein
differentmodes,suchas2-wheeldriveand
4-wheeldrive,andcarryingpassengersandcargo
mayaffectthehandlingofthemachine.
Operatingthemachineathighspeedandthen
quicklystoppingmaycausetherearwheelstolock
up,whichimpairsyourcontrolofthemachine.
Improperlydrivingand/ormakingabrupt
maneuverswhiledrivingatfastspeedincreases
theriskofatip-overorrollover.
Donottouchtheengine,transmission,mufer,or
exhaustmanifoldwhiletheengineisrunning,or
soonafteryoushutofftheengine,becausethese
areasmaybehotenoughtocauseburns.
Donotleavearunningmachineunattended.
Beforeyouleavetheoperatingposition,dothe
following:
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
ShiftthetransmissionlevertotheP(PARK)
position.
Shutoffthemachineandremovethekey.
Waitforallmovementtostop.
Donotoperatethemachinewhenthereistherisk
oflightning.

TheROPSisanintegralsafetydevice.Donot
removetheROPSfromthemachine.
Alwayswearyourseatbelttoprevent/minimize
injurytoyouandyourpassenger(s)intheeventof
anaccident;ensurethatitisattachedandthatyou
canreleaseitquicklyinanemergency.
Checkcarefullyforoverheadobstructionsanddo
notcontactthem.
KeeptheROPSinsafeoperatingconditionby
thoroughlyinspectingitperiodicallyfordamage
andkeepingallthemountingfastenerstight.
ReplacedamagedROPScomponents.Donot
repairoralterthem.
Multi-PassengerSafety
Donotexceedthegrossvehicleweight(GVW)
ofthemachine.Youmustaccountforyourself,
yourpassengers,andtheloadinthecargobed
contributingtotheoverallGVWofthemachine.
Passengersshouldsitinthedesignatedseating
positionsonly.Donotallowpassengerstositin
thecargobed.
Youandyourpassengersshouldremainseated
withyourseatbeltssecuredwheneverthe
machineisinmotion.
Theadditionalmachinelengthresultsinalarger
turnradius,soallowmorespacetomaneuverthe
machine.
SlopeSafety
Slopesareamajorfactorrelatedtoloss-of-control
andtip-overaccidents,whichcanresultinsevere
injuryordeath.
Surveythesitetodeterminewhichslopesare
safeforoperatingthemachineandestablishyour
ownproceduresandrulesforoperatingonthose
slopes.Alwaysusecommonsenseandgood
judgmentwhenperformingthissurvey.
Ifyoufeeluneasyoperatingthemachineona
slope,donotdoit.
