3.Raiseandemptythecargobed.
4.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
5.Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeperforming
maintenance.
6.Disconnectthenegative(-)batterycablefrom
thebatterypost.
RaisingtheMachine
DANGER
Amachineonajackmaybeunstableandslip
offthejack,injuringanyonebeneathit.
•Donotstartthemachinewhilethemachine
isonajack,astheenginevibrationor
wheelmovementcouldcausethemachine
toslipoffthejack.
•Alwaysremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch
beforegettingoffthemachine.
•Blockthetireswhenthemachineisona
jack.
Whenjackingupthefrontofthemachine,always
placeawoodenblock(orsimilarmaterial)between
thejackandthemachineframe.
Thejackingpointatthefrontofthemachineislocated
atthefrontframebottomplate(Figure76).
