allmovingpartstostopbeforecheckingtheoilor
addingoiltothecrankcase.
•Keepyourhands,feet,face,clothing,andother
bodypartsawayfromthemuferandotherhot
surfaces.
ServicingtheAirCleaner
ServiceInterval:Every250hours—Changethe
air-cleanerlter(morefrequentlyin
dustyordirtyconditions).
Inspecttheaircleanerandhosesperiodicallyto
maintainmaximumengineprotectionandtoensure
maximumservicelife.Checktheair-cleanerbody
fordamagethatcouldpossiblycauseanairleak.
Replaceadamagedair-cleanerbody.
1.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerandpull
theair-cleanercoverofftheair-cleanerbody
(Figure84).

damaged,donotuseit.
Note:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewiththeairlterandcover
installed.
5.Carefullyslidethelteroverthebodytube
(Figure84).
Note:Ensurethatitisfullyseatedbypushing
ontheouterrimofthelterwhileinstallingit.
6.Installtheair-cleanercoverwiththesidefacing
up,andsecurethelatches(Figure84).
