Dischargeofhot,pressurizedcoolantortouching
ahotradiatorandsurroundingpartscancause
severeburns.
Alwaysallowtheenginetocoolatleast15
minutesbeforeremovingtheradiatorcap.
Usearagwhenopeningtheradiatorcap,and
openthecapslowlytoallowsteamtoescape.
Donotoperatethemachinewithoutthecovers
inplace.
Keepyourngers,handsandclothingclearof
rotatingfananddrivebelt.
Shutofftheengineandremovethekeybefore
performingmaintenance.
Checkingthe
Engine-CoolantLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Check
thelevelofthecoolant.
Coolanttype:50%ethylene-glycolwithorganic
additivetechnology(OAT)50%distillerwater
WARNING
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,the
pressurized,hotcoolantcanescapeand
causeburns.
Donotopentheradiatorcapwhenthe
engineisrunning.
Usearagwhenopeningtheradiatorcap,
andopenthecapslowlytoallowsteamto
escape.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.ShiftthetransmissionlevertotheP(PARK)
position.
3.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
4.Checkthecoolantlevelinthecoolanttank
(Figure108).

temperature.
