CAUTION: For the correct approach to the reference points of lathe it is necessary to finish turning in this way so that
the single axes would always be off the home points.
11.2.2. Spindle control
Spindle control enables:
- spindle starting
- spindle stopping
- reversing of spindle rotation
- change of ratio steps and speed changing
The lathe is equiped with the step speed change and the speed change is carried out manually in accordance with the table.
Spindle stopping is also activited by opening of whichever safety shield (spindle guard, chip guard).
CAUTION: In case of emergency press the button “TOTAL STOP“, which is placed on the control panel of the
lathe and on the tailstock.
Reversing of spindle rotation is made by reversing of the main electric motor. When change the ratio step, which is
necessary to the achievement of demanded spindle revolutions go by following instructions:
- set up demanded spindle revolutions per minute on the display (manual 4.2).
- in accordance with the displayed information on changed speed ratio steps, set up the lever positions on the headstock in
accordance with the table.
Note:
If another ratio step is applied by system the spindle tipping will anable easier change of set ratio.
Warning:
The control of brake action is determinated by cutting of electric power supply to the electric motor pump of the hydraulic
and lubricating circuit of gear box. There is no function in the PLC circuit.
11.2.3. Control of carriage movement
Kinematic linkage between spindle rotation and feed of tool in tool holder of carriage is ensured by control system and
relevant drives.
Turning may be realized by these feeds:
- longitudinal (Z axis)
- cross (X axis)
- continuously (both axes simultancously)
Extreme positions of carriage movement range are secured by means of limit switches.Suitably arrangement of three limit
switches enables the continuous run from retarding to limit switch.If they are not functioned the extreme position of carriage
is limited by emergency switch.The retarding switch is used in case of programming as a reference switch for signalling of
decoder zero pulse.
Two triples of the limit switches are used for carriage movement in X axis direction.The movement in Z axis is limited by
three dogs and four switches placed on the carriage.Each action of the limit and emergency switch is displayed on the
control system.
Carriage withdrawal from the limit switch is carried out in the following way:
- switch the selector to the position FEED on the control system panel
- move by the directional push button JOG for relevant direction the carriage the limit switch of carriage movement.
